Starting an internship at Compco was the greatest decision I’ve ever made. I learned about how a strong team works in a successful business, how to practice great communication, and the importance of responsibility and accountability.

What’s it like as an intern at Compco? You will experience first-hand how a business operates on a daily basis. I attended multiple meetings per week and observed how the team communicates and collaborates to tackle any challenges that arise. If someone can’t be where they need to be, a teammate steps in to take their place- no questions asked. That is the true definition of teamwork. More importantly, their communication to one another is respectful and consistent. Everyone makes an effort to build strong relationships with their coworkers.

Most importantly, I learned the value of accountability and responsibility. Employees are understanding when accidents happen, but they are also running a business. If you make a mistake, the best thing that you can do is be honest about it. In the business world, honesty is far better than making excuses. Especially because everyone has lives and responsibilities outside of work. Communicating the
error openly and then learning from it is far more effective.

Working at Compco has truly been a blessing. Everyone is kind, welcoming, and open-minded. The
people at Compco make the business so unique because they know the importance of keeping your
employees happy. The humility and friendliness at Compco are like a breath of fresh air.

In my experience at Compco, I met so many incredible people. The level of professionalism is outstanding, and everyone is treated with equal respect. Becoming an intern here is something that every business student should consider. From the moment you walk into the building, it’s easy to understand why the company is successful. Everyone greets you with a smile, says “Good morning!” and asks about your weekend — because they care.

I got the chance to work in the marketing department, and they are great people. I already had an interest in marketing, but this experience solidified my desire to pursue a career in marketing. The past couple months at Compco have been amazing and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for the company.
