Compco received the 2024 Better Business Bureau Award for Marketplace Trust on June 5, 2024 at an award ceremony at The Lake Club. There to accept the award was Chairman of the Board Greg Smith, along with his mother, Rose Marie Smith, and his son, Brad.

The criteria reviewed for the award include; character, culture, customers and community.

This year, along with Compco, the 2024 honorees include Soft Touch Furniture and Rick’s Ranchwear. Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley received the Torch Award for Nonprofit Excellence, and Germaine Bennett received the Torch Award for Civic Leadership.
